Archetype Overview
Boa Hancock is a Blue/Yellow Trigger-value deck that treats both players' Life as a resource. It took 1st Place at ChinoizeCup #124 MONDAY (2026-10-19), a 128-player event piloted by volkiso. The list is almost entirely Yellow Characters, with a light Blue splash for card draw and removal. Its plan is straightforward: make every hit the opponent lands pay you in cards and bodies, refill your own Life, and make them lose Life when they clear your board.
The Engine: Triggers That Draw on Their Turn
The Leader's first ability is the core of the deck. On your opponent's turn, whenever you play a Character, you draw 1 card. Most Characters in this list play themselves from Life:
- Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) plays itself from Life with no condition.
- Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters and Shakuyaku play themselves from Life as long as your Leader is Kuja Pirates, which Boa Hancock always is.
- Gecko Moria's Trigger plays a cost-4-or-less Character from your trash, such as Ran, Roronoa Zoro or Charlotte Pudding.
- The cost-9 Boa Hancock's Trigger plays a Trigger Character with 6000 power or less straight from your hand.
More than thirty of the 50 cards carry a Trigger. When the opponent attacks your Leader, the damage often hands you a free Character and a card draw on top of the Life card itself. Aggressive opponents face a real problem: every point of damage risks rebuilding your board and refilling your hand.
The Punisher: K.O.s Cost Them Life
The Leader's second ability needs one DON!! attached to your Leader and works once per turn. When one of your Amazon Lily or Kuja Pirates Characters with 5000 or more base power is K.O.'d, you add the top card of your opponent's Life to their hand. Five Characters in the list qualify:
- Ran
- Boa Marigold
- Gorgon Sisters
- Shakuyaku
- The cost-9 Boa Hancock
This means removal costs your opponent something. Clearing your board shrinks their Life total, so they choose between leaving your bodies alone and running down their own clock.
The deck also helps you meet the DON!! condition. Ran can give a rested DON!! to your Kuja Pirates Leader, and Gorgon Sisters gives your Leader and every Character a rested DON!! each. Both let you switch the ability on without spending active DON!! you need for your own plays.
Life Management on Both Sides
Many cards in this list move cards to and from Life, which keeps your Life stocked with Triggers:
- Roronoa Zoro and Bartholomew Kuma each trash a card from hand to add the top card of your deck to your Life.
- Borsalino does the same for free once you're at 2 or fewer Life, and adds a Blocker body.
- Bartholomew Kuma adds another Life card if it is K.O.'d on the opponent's turn.
- Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) takes a Life card into your hand and places a card of your choice on top of your Life. You can use this to set a known Trigger for the opponent's next attack.
The cost-9 Boa Hancock works both ways in a single On Play: you gain a Life card and your opponent loses one.
Card draw keeps the deck running while this happens:
- Charlotte Pudding trashes a Trigger card to draw 3.
- Nami draws 3 with your multicolored Leader, then puts 2 cards back on the top or bottom of your deck so you can sculpt future draws and Life.
- Shakuyaku draws 2 and trashes 2 once the opponent is at 3 or fewer Life.
Why the Plan Is Strong
The deck is hard to pressure efficiently and hard to clean up efficiently:
- Attacking it is risky. Hitting your Leader feeds your Trigger engine.
- Removing your Characters is risky. K.O.ing them feeds your Leader's Life-stripping ability.
- Trading buys you time. High-Counter bodies like Gorgon Sisters and Shakuyaku at +2000 let you defend while you develop.
The deck can also close games. Gecko Moria and the cost-9 Boa Hancock are 10000-power threats. Perfume Femur gives a Seven Warlords of the Sea Leader or Character +2000 and stops your opponent from using Blocker against it that turn. That gives you a clean lethal swing once their Life is low. Gravity Blade Raging Tiger removes two Characters of cost 6 or less to the bottom of the deck when you need to break a board. You're the One Who Should Disappear. is a 0-cost +3000 Counter, and its Trigger can rebuild your Life from zero.
Who Should Pick It Up
Play this deck if you like reading the board over racing it. The key decisions are about Life:
- when to take a hit instead of Countering it,
- when to refill your Life and when to hold,
- when to set up Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon),
- when to save your Leader's DON!! condition for the opponent's turn.
Expect long games and constant decisions about card quality. If you want to curve out and end the game by turn six, this deck will frustrate you.
The estimated cost is about $258 (TCGplayer market prices; approximate). That makes it a reasonable investment for a deck that rewards players who learn its Life math.
Core Strategy & Game Plan
How the deck wins
This list turns your own Life into a resource and turns the opponent's Life into a liability. Your Life cards are stacked with Characters that play themselves off [Trigger]. Every Character you play on the opponent's turn draws a card off your Leader. Meanwhile your Leader and the cost-9 Boa Hancock strip the opponent's Life without attacking. You win by taking the opponent from a full Life total down to lethal range through effects, then closing with 10000-power bodies and a wide, DON!!-loaded board.
Posture: reactive on their turn, proactive on yours
Do most of your gaining on the opponent's turn. When they hit your Life, Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters, Shakuyaku and Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) come down for free. Each of those plays draws you a card through your Leader because it happens on their turn. An aggressive opponent who swings into your Life is feeding you board and cards. On your own turn, refill Life, set up what sits on top of it, and keep your Leader ready to punish K.O.s.
The three engine loops
- Trigger into draw. Most of the deck carries a [Trigger], and the Kuja-type Triggers play themselves because your Leader is Kuja Pirates. A good Life hit gives you a free Character, plus one card from your Leader on top of the Life card itself. Gecko Moria's Trigger replays a cost-4-or-less Character from trash. The cost-9 Boa Hancock's Trigger drops a 6000-or-less Trigger Character from your hand.
- Life stocking and stacking. Roronoa Zoro and Bartholomew Kuma each trade a card from hand for a Life card. Borsalino adds one when you're at 2 or less, and the cost-9 Boa Hancock adds one on play. Top-of-deck refills are live because the deck is so Trigger-dense. Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) is the precision tool. Pull a Life card into hand, then put the Trigger you want on top: Gorgon Sisters or Shakuyaku if you want the counter-sized body, Ran if you want the cheap one.
- The K.O. tax. With a DON!! attached, your Leader removes the top card of the opponent's Life whenever one of your Kuja or Amazon Lily Characters with 5000+ base power is K.O.'d, once per turn. Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters, Shakuyaku and the cost-9 Boa Hancock all qualify. Opponents who clear your board pay Life to do it. End every turn with a DON!! on your Leader. Ran is the cheapest way to do this: she moves a rested DON!! onto the Leader, so the DON!! you already spent this turn ends up powering the Leader.
The ideal game
- Turns 1–2 (low DON!!): Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) sets the top of your Life to a self-playing Trigger. Use Charlotte Pudding at 3 to trash a spare Trigger card and draw three. Pudding needs a Trigger in hand to pay, which this deck almost always has.
- Turn 3 (4 DON!!): Ran goes down and puts a DON!! on your Leader before you pass. Alternatively, Roronoa Zoro converts a weak card into Life while adding a 6000 body.
- Turns 4–5 (5–6 DON!!): Your defensive turn. Borsalino and Nami are Blockers; Nami draws three and lets you put two back on top or bottom, which helps set up your next Life refill. Boa Marigold becomes a Blocker at 2 or less Life. Shakuyaku filters two cards once the opponent is at 3 or less Life, which your Leader and Hancock help force. Bartholomew Kuma adds Life now and again if it's K.O.'d on their turn. Its +2 cost also pushes it out of range of cost-capped removal.
- Turns 6–7 (7–8 DON!!): Gravity Blade Raging Tiger bottoms two of their Characters to break a board stall. Gecko Moria lands as a 10000-power body. Its On Play has no target in this list, so treat it as a big attacker and a Trigger.
- Turn 8+ (9–10 DON!!): The cost-9 Boa Hancock adds to your Life and removes the opponent's top Life card in one play. This is usually the turn their Life total collapses.
Closing the game
Your Leader's 5000 power is the weak point of the finish, so build the lethal turn around width. Gorgon Sisters reveals three Amazon Lily or Kuja cards to give your Leader and every Character a rested DON!!. That turns a board of 5000s into real threats after you've spent DON!! on plays. Perfume Femur gives your Leader or a Warlords Character +2000 and stops Blockers for that attack. Save it for the swing that has to connect. You're the One Who Should Disappear. is your +3000 Counter for surviving the opponent's last push. It also refills a Life card if it flips as your final Life.
Don't race. Let the opponent's attacks fuel you, keep your Life count healthy, and strip their Life through K.O. punishes and Hancock's On Play. Attack for lethal only once the Gorgon Sisters DON!! spread or Perfume Femur makes the math certain.
Card Choices & Breakdown
The Kuja Trigger Core
This is the heart of the list. Every Trigger here does real work, because the Leader draws a card whenever you play a Character on your opponent's turn. A Trigger that plays a body also refills your hand.
- Ran (4): A 4-cost 5000-power Kuja that plays itself off a Trigger. On your turn its once-per-turn ability gives a rested DON!! to your Kuja Leader. That turns on the Leader's [DON!!x1] Life-stripping clause without spending active DON!!. It is the cheapest way to arm your Leader, so it runs at four.
- Boa Marigold (4): Another 5000-power Kuja that plays itself off a Trigger. It gains [Blocker] once you're at 2 or fewer Life, so your defense gets better as the opponent pushes damage. That is the point where you need it most.
- Gorgon Sisters (4): A +2000 Counter that also plays itself off a Trigger. Its main ability reveals 3 Amazon Lily or Kuja Pirates cards from your hand and gives a rested DON!! to your Leader and every Character. That is a board-wide power boost, and it also arms the Leader. Perfume Femur carries the Kuja Pirates type, so it counts toward the reveal.
- Shakuyaku (4): A +2000 Counter that plays itself off a Trigger. Once the opponent is at 3 or fewer Life, its On Play draws 2 and trashes 2, letting you dig for finishers while you dump excess fuel.
All four have 5000 base power and the right type. When any of them is K.O.'d with a DON!! on your Leader, the Leader moves a card from the top of the opponent's Life to their hand. Trading these bodies costs the opponent a Life each time.
Life Engineering
- Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) (4): This is the setup piece. Pull a Life card to hand, then put a card from your hand on top of your Life. You choose your next Trigger: put Gorgon Sisters or Boa Hancock there and the opponent's next hit plays it for you. When Gloriosa is played from its own Trigger on the opponent's turn, the Leader also draws.
- Roronoa Zoro (4): A 4-cost 6000 body that trashes a card to add the top of your deck to your Life. It has no Counter and no Trigger, so it is purely proactive. Most of the deck carries a Trigger, which makes the face-down card it adds a strong one most of the time.
- Borsalino (4): A [Blocker] with a +1000 Counter that refunds a Life when you're at 2 or fewer. It is the stabilizer for when you've fallen behind. Running Borsalino means this deck cannot also include I Re-Quasar Helllp!!, because that pairing is banned (source: Bandai official Banned/Restricted Card List, effective 2026-10-12).
- Bartholomew Kuma (2): A 7000-power body that adds a Life on play and another if the opponent K.O.s it on their turn. Like Zoro, it has no Trigger. It sits at two because it overlaps with Zoro's job at a higher cost. The +2 cost it gains also pushes it out of range of cost-based removal for a turn cycle.
Card Flow
- Charlotte Pudding (4): Trash a Trigger card from hand, draw 3. This deck is almost entirely Trigger cards, so the cost is effectively free. Its own Trigger can only find Big Mom Pirates cards, and Pudding is the only one in the list, so a Pudding Trigger finds another Pudding.
- Nami (2): The blue splash. Your Leader is always multicolored, so it reliably draws 3 and puts 2 back on top or bottom. This sets up your top deck right before a Roronoa Zoro, Bartholomew Kuma, Borsalino or Boa Hancock adds that top card to your Life. Nami also brings a 6000 [Blocker]. It stays at two because it has no Trigger and competes for slots at 5 cost.
Top End
- Boa Hancock (4, the 9-cost): This is the finisher. Your Leader is Seven Warlords, so it always adds a Life to your side and strips one from the opponent's. Its Trigger plays a 6000-or-less Trigger Character from your hand, which means a free Gorgon Sisters or Shakuyaku on the opponent's turn, plus a Leader draw.
- Gecko Moria (4): Read this one carefully. Its On Play looks for Thriller Bark Pirates Characters of cost 4 or less, and this list has none, so the On Play is blank here. You play it for the 10000-power body and its Trigger, which recurs a cost-4-or-less Character from your trash. That can bring back Ran, Roronoa Zoro, Charlotte Pudding or Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon), all of which you trash regularly as fuel.
- Boa Hancock (2, the second printing): This is a separate card number from the 9-cost, which is how the list holds six Hancocks under the four-copies-per-card-number rule (source: Bandai official play guide). Check its printed text before you build. This chapter treats it only as a two-copy slot.
Events
- You're the One Who Should Disappear. (2): A 0-cost +3000 Counter for one trashed card. Your Character Counters are mostly +1000, so this is your emergency answer to big swings. Its Trigger can rescue you at 0 Life.
- Perfume Femur (1): +2000 on a Seven Warlords attacker and no Blockers for that attack. It is a one-turn lethal enabler with your Leader or Boa Hancock, and it doubles as reveal fodder for Gorgon Sisters.
- Gravity Blade Raging Tiger (1): This is the deck's only real removal. It sends two Characters of cost 6 or less to the bottom of the deck, and its Trigger handles one of cost 5 or less. It runs as a single because at 7 cost it competes with your finishers for the same turns. Treat it as a reset button, not a plan.
The Decklist
This is the exact 50 that volkiso piloted to 1st place at ChinoizeCup #124 MONDAY (2026-10-19, 128 players). It runs 46 Characters and only 4 Events, almost entirely Yellow, with a Blue splash that the multicolored Leader unlocks. The estimated build cost is about $258 at TCGplayer market prices.
As you read the list, track one tag: Leader-eligible. It marks every Amazon Lily or Kuja Pirates Character with 5000 base power or more. When one of those is K.O.'d and your Leader has DON!!x1 attached, the Leader's once-per-turn ability moves the top card of your opponent's Life into their hand.
Leader
| Qty | Card | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Boa Hancock | OP14-041. It draws a card when you play a Character on your opponent's turn, and its K.O. ability pulls an opponent's Life card into their hand. |
Character (46)
| Qty | Card | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) | Two-cost Life sculpting: you take a Life card and set a card of your choice on top. It also plays itself as a Trigger. |
| 4 | Charlotte Pudding | Trash a Trigger card to draw 3. Its Trigger only finds Big Mom Pirates, and that means other copies of itself. |
| 4 | Ran | Leader-eligible. Moves a rested DON!! onto a Kuja card and plays itself as a Trigger. |
| 4 | Roronoa Zoro | A 6000-power body for 4 that turns a dead card into a Life card. It has no Counter value. |
| 2 | Boa Hancock | Flex. This is a second Hancock Character printing, separate from the 4-copy entry. Its text is not covered in this guide, so confirm the set number before you sleeve up. |
| 4 | Borsalino | Blocker. Refills a Life card when you are at 2 or less. |
| 4 | Boa Marigold | Leader-eligible. Gains Blocker at 2 or less Life and plays itself as a Trigger. |
| 2 | Nami | Flex. A Blue Blocker that draws 3 and puts 2 back, since your Leader is multicolored. |
| 4 | Gorgon Sisters | Leader-eligible. Reveal 3 Kuja or Amazon Lily cards to give a DON!! to your Leader and every Character. It has a +2000 Counter. |
| 4 | Shakuyaku | Leader-eligible. Draws 2 and trashes 2 once your opponent is at 3 or less Life. It has a +2000 Counter. |
| 2 | Bartholomew Kuma | Flex. Adds a Life card on play and adds another if it is K.O.'d on your opponent's turn. |
| 4 | Gecko Moria | A 10000-power top end. None of this list's known cards meet its On Play's Thriller Bark condition, so its value is the body and its Trigger, which replays a cost 4 or less Character from your trash. |
| 4 | Boa Hancock | OP14-112, the cost-9 finisher. It adds 1 card to your Life and pulls 1 from your opponent's. As a Trigger, it plays a Trigger Character with 6000 power or less from your hand. |
Event (4)
| Qty | Card | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | You're the One Who Should Disappear. | Flex. A free +3000 Counter that costs you a card from hand. Its Trigger rebuilds Life when you are at 0. |
| 1 | Perfume Femur | Flex. A one-of closer. Gives +2000 to a Warlords Leader or Character, and the opponent can't use Blocker against its attack. |
| 1 | Gravity Blade Raging Tiger | Flex. Bottom-decks two Characters of cost 6 or less. This is the list's only real removal. |
Reading the shape
The core is the full playsets of Life manipulators and Kuja Trigger bodies, and those slots don't move. The adjustable space is small and clearly marked: the two-ofs and the three Events. Those slots trade defense (Nami, You're the One Who Should Disappear.), Life count (Bartholomew Kuma) and interaction (Gravity Blade Raging Tiger) against each other.
Note the Counter profile too. Roronoa Zoro, Gecko Moria and the cost-9 Boa Hancock carry no Counter value, so a hand heavy on top end defends poorly. Lean on the +2000 Counters from Gorgon Sisters and Shakuyaku when you have to absorb a big turn.
Opening Hands & Mulligan
Your opening five has two jobs: put bodies on the board on curve, and give you a card worth setting on top of your Life. This list wins by making the opponent's attacks pay you. Big [Trigger] Characters come off your Life for free, and your Leader draws a card every time you play a Character on the opponent's turn. Judge every opener by whether it gets that engine running by your third turn.
What a keep needs
- At least two plays costing 2-4. Your early plays are Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon), Charlotte Pudding, Ran and Roronoa Zoro. Without them you spend the early turns doing nothing while the opponent sets the pace.
- A payoff to stack or curve into. Gorgon Sisters, Shakuyaku, Boa Marigold or the 9-cost Boa Hancock are what Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) wants to put on top of your Life. A hand with Gloriosa and no target still plays fine, but it is weaker.
- Counter coverage. Roronoa Zoro, Gecko Moria and the 9-cost Boa Hancock have no Counter value. Gorgon Sisters and Shakuyaku give +2000. A hand with three of the no-Counter cards cannot defend your Leader early.
Premium keeps
- Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) + a 6-cost Kuja or Amazon Lily [Trigger] + any 3-4 drop. You can set Gorgon Sisters or Shakuyaku on top of your Life early. When the opponent hits it, you get a 5000-power body for free and a Leader draw.
- Charlotte Pudding + extra [Trigger] cards. Pudding's cost is trashing a card with [Trigger] from your hand, and most of this deck qualifies. A Pudding hand rarely bricks: you draw 3 and fix whatever the opener was missing.
- Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) + the 9-cost Boa Hancock + a 6000-or-less [Trigger] Character. Hancock's [Trigger] plays a [Trigger] Character with 6000 power or less from your hand. With Hancock on top of your Life, one hit from the opponent can put two Characters into play on their turn.
Send it back
- All top end. Hands like Gecko Moria, Bartholomew Kuma, Gorgon Sisters and the 9-cost Boa Hancock with one early play. Their [Trigger]s are strong, but you have no way to set them deliberately, and you can't defend while you wait for DON!!.
- Conditional cards with no early action. Borsalino's Life gain needs you at 2 or less Life. Shakuyaku's draw needs the opponent at 3 or less. Boa Marigold only gains [Blocker] at 2 or less Life. A hand built around these does nothing early.
- Two or more Events. Gravity Blade Raging Tiger costs 7 and Perfume Femur is a finisher. Holding both, or a double You're the One Who Should Disappear., means too few Characters.
You only get one redraw, so a mediocre hand with a 2-drop and a 3-drop is a keep. Ship hands that have no plays before your third turn, not hands that are merely unexciting.
Going first
You gain only 1 DON!! on turn 1, and nothing in the list costs 1, so turn 1 is a pass. Your real first play comes at 3 DON!! on turn 2:
- Charlotte Pudding refuels your hand.
- Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) with a DON!! left over sets your Life before the opponent's next attacks.
At 5 DON!! on turn 3 you can play two early cards together, Gloriosa plus Pudding. You can also go straight to a 5-cost Nami for the draw-3. Going first, you can keep a slightly slower hand, since your first defensive turn comes later.
Going second
Two DON!! on turn 1 makes Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) a natural opener. It sets a [Trigger] on top of your Life before the opponent's attacks start.
At 4 DON!! on turn 2, choose between Ran and Roronoa Zoro:
- Roronoa Zoro is a 6000 body that adds a Life card. That card goes on top of your Life and buries anything Gloriosa set. If you hold both, play Zoro first and Gloriosa afterward. Gloriosa can take the card Zoro just added, so your chosen card ends up on top.
- Ran can put a rested DON!! on your Leader. That turns on the Leader's DON!!x1 ability, which takes a Life card from the opponent when one of your 5000+ Kuja or Amazon Lily Characters is K.O.'d.
Six DON!! on turn 3 lines up with your 6-costs. Going second, value Gloriosa more highly in your keep decisions.
Matchup adjustments
- Against aggressive decks, Counter density and Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) matter most. Every attack flips a Life card, and the more of those flips you have set, the more free bodies and Leader draws you collect. Ship greedy draw hands built on two Nami and no early board. Put Boa Marigold and Borsalino higher than usual: you will hit 2 Life early, and both become Blockers there.
- Against slower control and midrange, the opponent may not attack enough to flip your stacked Life early. Keep hands with Charlotte Pudding or Nami draw and real top end. A hand with Gecko Moria or the 9-cost Boa Hancock and a little card flow is fine. Life gain from Roronoa Zoro and Bartholomew Kuma helps you outlast them.
- Against decks that clear your board, you need replacements. Remember that Gecko Moria's [Trigger] plays a 4-cost-or-less Character from your trash. Cards you trash to Charlotte Pudding or Roronoa Zoro early, such as Ran, can come back later.
Sequencing & Key Lines
Turns 1–3: Build the Life Stack
Your early DON!! goes into Life manipulation. Fighting for the board comes later. Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) is the ideal first play. Pull a Life card to hand and replace it with the best Trigger Character you hold. The priority order is Boa Hancock (the Character), then Gorgon Sisters, then Shakuyaku, then Gecko Moria. Each of those becomes a free play when the opponent hits you. Because it's played on their turn, your Leader also draws you a card.
- Going second (2 DON!!): play Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) and stack a top Life.
- Going first (3 DON!! on your second turn): play Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) and put the spare DON!! on your Leader.
- Top or bottom: once you've stacked a card on top, Gloriosa's cost should take the bottom Life so the stack stays intact.
- Charlotte Pudding at 3: only play it if you can pitch a low-value Trigger card. Good pitches are Perfume Femur, a spare Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon), or You're the One Who Should Disappear.. Keep at least one Trigger Character in hand to stack.
The 4-Cost Turn: Ran Before Zoro
On the 4-DON!! turn, Ran is usually the right play.
- Paying for her rests all four DON!!. Her once-per-turn ability can then move one rested DON!! onto your Leader.
- That turns on the Leader's [DON!!x1] clause for the opponent's turn. She also counts as a 5000-power Kuja Character, so the opponent loses a Life if they K.O. her.
Hold Roronoa Zoro until you control the top of your deck. Played blind, he adds an unknown card to Life. Played after setup, he adds a Trigger you chose.
Mid-Game: Sculpt, Then Gain
The key ordering is Nami first, Life-gain second.
- Nami draws 3 and puts 2 cards on the top or bottom of your deck. Place a Trigger Character on top and send non-Triggers to the bottom.
- Then cast whichever Life-gain piece fits your DON!!: Roronoa Zoro, Bartholomew Kuma, Borsalino, or Boa Hancock. It moves that Trigger straight into your Life.
- At 9 DON!!, Nami plus Roronoa Zoro is the cleanest version of this turn.
Timing notes for the other mid-game cards:
- Borsalino: only gains Life at 2 or fewer Life. At higher Life, cast it for the Blocker body only when you need that body now.
- Shakuyaku: only draws once the opponent is at 3 or fewer Life. Before that, keep it in hand as a Life-stack card or a +2000 Counter.
End-of-Turn Checklist
Run this before passing, every turn from 4 DON!! on:
- Is a DON!! on your Leader? If not, get one there with Ran or Gorgon Sisters. Without it, your 5000-plus Kuja and Amazon Lily Characters are just bodies, not Life-strip traps.
- Do you have a Character that punishes a K.O.? Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters, Shakuyaku, and the Hancock Character all qualify. Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) (0 power) and the non-Kuja bodies do not.
- Do you know your top Life card? If it's a Trigger Character, plan to take the hit. If it's unknown or a non-Trigger, plan to Counter.
Two more edges on the end-of-turn setup:
- Revealing for Gorgon Sisters: the ability asks for three Kuja or Amazon Lily cards, not Characters. Perfume Femur is Kuja-typed and counts.
- Blocking with Boa Marigold: at 2 or fewer Life she gains Blocker. If she blocks and is K.O.'d in that battle with DON!! on your Leader, the opponent loses a Life for attacking into her.
Branch Points on Defense
- Trigger chains: the Boa Hancock Character's Trigger plays a Trigger Character of 6000 or less from your hand. Hold Gorgon Sisters or Shakuyaku for it, since a free 6-cost is worth far more than a free Ran.
- Gecko Moria in Life: his Trigger replays a 4-cost-or-less Character from your trash. That makes your trash choices matter.
- Use Pudding or Zoro pitches to bin the cards you want back.
- Rebuying Roronoa Zoro is the best target. Its On Play adds another Life, and your Leader draws a card.
- Rebuying Charlotte Pudding draws 3 if you have a Trigger card to pitch.
- Gecko Moria hard-cast: his On Play finds nothing in this list, because you run no other Thriller Bark Characters. Cast him as a 10000-power body only when you have no better use for 8 DON!!.
- You're the One Who Should Disappear.: it costs 0 DON!! but a card from hand. Don't burn a Trigger Character you could stack later. Pitch dead Events or excess Counter-less cards instead.
Playing Around Removal
Sort the opponent's interaction by how it removes your Characters.
- K.O. effects and attacks: these feed your Leader. Leave your 5000-plus Kuja and Amazon Lily Characters on board with a DON!! on the Leader, and dare them to take the Life loss.
- Removal that doesn't K.O.: anything that sends cards to the deck, hand, or trash dodges your Leader. Against it, don't overcommit Triggers to the board. Keep them in hand and Life instead.
- Removal capped by cost: that is exactly what Bartholomew Kuma is for.
- Its On Play adds a Life, then makes it an 8-cost until the end of the opponent's next End Phase.
- If they K.O. it anyway on their turn, you gain another Life.
- Kuma isn't Kuja, so it won't trigger your Leader. It is your best play into removal you can't otherwise punish.
Closing the Game
You strip Life faster than the board suggests. Count every source of Life loss before attacking:
- the Boa Hancock Character's On Play;
- a Leader K.O. trigger left over from the opponent's turn;
- each attack you can push through.
Hancock's Life-take, like your Leader's, moves the card to the opponent's hand rather than dealing damage. Count on it to strip a Life without revealing a Trigger, but it does hand them a card.
Your Events do the most work on the lethal turn:
- Gravity Blade Raging Tiger (7): bottom-decks two Blockers or threats costing 6 or less.
- Perfume Femur (2): gives your Leader or a Seven Warlords Character +2000. If that card attacks this turn, the opponent can't activate Blocker.
- Together they cost 9 DON!! and clear the path for the final swings, with a DON!! to spare.
Don't spend either Event early unless it prevents lethal. Both are far stronger on your last turn than on any turn before it.

How to read the named matchups
You face these Leaders by name, but the pace each opponent sets matters more than the name. Treat each named pairing as Even. Then sort it into a strategy row by how hard they attack you in the first three turns. If they swing early, play it like the aggro row. If they hold back and build, play it like the control row.
Rocks.D.Xebec
This is the Leader you'll see most. It held 8 of 32 online Top 8 slots, made Top 8 in all 4 counted events and had 46 of 256 entries (source: Limitless TCG online platform, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). It also kept placing after the 2026-10-12 ban. Its Top 8 lists are tight, with eight cards at 4 copies in all 8 lists (same source and dates). Expect a consistent opponent who rarely bricks.
Your plan is to avoid trading resources on their schedule. Use Roronoa Zoro and Bartholomew Kuma to keep Life stocked so each of their swings risks giving you a Trigger. Hold Gravity Blade Raging Tiger for the Character that keeps generating value turn after turn, not the first body they play.
Luffy & Ace
This Leader had 6 Top 8 slots across 3 events but no wins, from 31 entries (source: Limitless TCG online platform, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). Keep your Life high early. Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters and Shakuyaku all play from Trigger under your Leader. Each of those plays happens on their turn, so your Leader draws you a card. When they attack into a full Life stack, they are often feeding you free bodies plus cards.
Monkey.D.Luffy (OP17-079)
This Leader had 3 Top 8 slots and 1 win from 29 entries (source: Limitless TCG online platform, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). The danger zone is 2 Life. That is exactly when Borsalino refills and Boa Marigold gains Blocker, so reach it with those cards in hand.
Don't fire Borsalino early just for the 6000-power body. Its On Play only adds Life at 2 or less.
Kalgara
This Leader had 3 Top 8 slots and 1 win from only 9 entries (source: Limitless TCG online platform, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). Your key turn is Boa Hancock (OP14-112) at 9 cost. It adds Life to you and strips one of theirs.
Plan backward from that turn. Don't overcommit DON!! to Gorgon Sisters or Ran if it delays the 9-drop by a full turn.
Sabo
Sabo had 2 Top 8 slots from 18 entries (source: Limitless TCG online platform, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). Take damage on your terms. Counter with You're the One Who Should Disappear. only when the hit would leave you exposed. Otherwise, let the Life go and roll the Trigger.
Boa Hancock mirror
Hancock had 13 entries and no Top 8 in the window (source: Limitless TCG online platform, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19), so the mirror is a real possibility. Both Leaders punish K.O.s of 5000+ base power Kuja Pirates or Amazon Lily Characters by stripping a Life card, but only with DON!! attached to the Leader. That makes attacking into Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters or Shakuyaku costly for whoever does it.
- Lead pressure with Roronoa Zoro, Borsalino and Bartholomew Kuma. None of them are Kuja Pirates or Amazon Lily, so K.O.ing them never triggers the opposing Leader.
- Kill their Kuja bodies only when your own Leader has DON!! attached.
- Perfume Femur decides close races. It shuts off their Blockers for a lethal swing from your Leader or a Seven Warlords Character.
Aggro
This is your best spot. Fast attackers flip your Triggers, and every Character played from a Trigger draws you a card. Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) even plays itself off a Trigger. Stay calm at low Life: Borsalino, Boa Marigold and a Trigger from Gecko Moria pulling a cost-4-or-less body back from the trash all stabilize you.
Wide-board midrange
Your removal is one Gravity Blade Raging Tiger for up to two Characters at cost 6 or less. Against width, you win by forcing their attackers into Borsalino and Nami blocks. Then swing back with 10000-power bodies.
Save the Event for a two-for-one. Don't spend it on a single threat unless that threat is lethal.
Slow control
Against a patient opponent, few Triggers flip and your Leader's opponent's-turn draw rarely fires. Your card flow falls back on Charlotte Pudding and Nami (OP11-054). Shakuyaku's On Play also needs them at 3 or less Life.
Push early damage to bring them under 4 Life and switch that draw on. Then let Boa Hancock (OP14-112) and your Leader's K.O. trigger strip the rest. Spending a turn without attacking is how you lose this matchup.
Tech Choices & Variations
This list has four cards that are true flex slots: the three Event lines and the 2-copy Characters. The rest is a tightly linked engine. Before you change anything, check two counts that drive the deck. The first is Trigger density: Charlotte Pudding has to trash a Trigger card to draw 3, and the Boa Hancock cost-9 Trigger plays a Trigger Character from hand. The second is {Amazon Lily}/{Kuja Pirates} density: Gorgon Sisters reveals three of them, and the Leader only takes Life when one of those types with 5000+ base power is K.O.'d.
The Core You Don't Cut
Keep the full sets of Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters and Shakuyaku. Each is a Kuja or Amazon Lily body with 5000 base power, so each one feeds the Leader's Life-stealing clause when it is K.O.'d. Each also flips into play as a Trigger. Keep Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) and Charlotte Pudding at four as well, because they are your Life-shaping and card-flow engine. If you trim these, the deck stops doing what makes it work.
The Event Package
Perfume Femur is better than it looks:
- It is a {Kuja Pirates} type card, so it counts toward the reveal for Gorgon Sisters.
- Its Trigger draws a card.
- Its Main effect makes a Seven Warlords attacker unblockable for the turn.
Gravity Blade Raging Tiger is your only way to clear two Characters at once. At cost 7, it competes with your 8- and 9-cost turns. You're the One Who Should Disappear. costs 0 and gives +3000 in battle, but you pay for it by trashing a card.
- Second Gravity Blade, minus Perfume Femur: Do this if your field fills the board with Blockers and cost-6-or-lower threats. You lose a Kuja reveal card and the cheap Trigger draw. You also make your clunky top end clunkier.
- Third You're the One, minus Perfume Femur: Do this against rush strategies where surviving at low Life matters more than pushing through Blockers. The Trigger only matters at 0 Life, so treat it as a Counter, not a reliable flip.
The 2-Copy Characters: Nami and Kuma
Nami always draws 3 here, because the Leader is Blue/Yellow. She also gives you a 6000 Blocker with Counter +1000. Her drawback is that she has no Trigger and is not a Kuja.
Bartholomew Kuma adds Life twice: once on play, and again if he is K.O.'d during your opponent's turn. He has the same drawbacks as Nami. He is also a 7000 body that does not trigger your Leader when he dies.
Against slower decks, going up to a third Nami smooths your draws. Against decks that pressure your Life, a third Kuma buys you more turns. Each copy you add from this pair thins out the fuel for Charlotte Pudding.
Where to Find Space
Roronoa Zoro is the first card to trim, from 4 to 3. He has no Counter, no Trigger, and no Kuja type. His job is converting a spare card into Life early.
Gecko Moria is the second candidate. His On Play does nothing in this list, because none of Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon), Charlotte Pudding, Ran or Roronoa Zoro are Thriller Bark Pirates. You run him for the 10000 body and for his Trigger, which plays a cost-4-or-less Character from the trash. Going down to 3 is defensible if you need the slot. Don't cut lower than that, because the Trigger is real value when your Life flips.
Boa Hancock is split across two Character entries (4 and 2). Confirm which printing each entry is before you trim. The OP14-112 copy's On Play adds a card to your Life and takes one of your opponent's, and that copy should stay at four.
| Swap | You gain | You give up |
|---|---|---|
| -1 Roronoa Zoro, +1 Nami | A Blocker, a Counter, and draw 3 | A cheap early Life add |
| -1 Roronoa Zoro, +1 Bartholomew Kuma | Two Life adds and a 7000 body | A cost-4 drop, and you move to a higher curve |
| -1 Perfume Femur, +1 Gravity Blade Raging Tiger | Removal of two Characters | A Kuja reveal card, Trigger draw, and your anti-Blocker push |
| -1 Gecko Moria, +1 You're the One Who Should Disappear. | A 0-cost +3000 defensive Counter | A 10000 finisher and the reanimation Trigger |
Tuning for Your Field
In the online window, Rocks.D.Xebec (OP17-039) was the most-entered Leader, at 46 of 256 entries, and took 8 of 32 Top 8 slots (source: Limitless TCG online platform, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). Luffy & Ace (ST30-001) followed with 31 entries and 6 Top 8 slots (source: Limitless TCG online platform, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). If those two Leaders show up at your event, test your flex choices against them first.
- Against aggressive starts, protect your Life. Run 4 Borsalino and a third Bartholomew Kuma or Nami.
- Against wide boards, move up to the second Gravity Blade Raging Tiger.
- Against slower decks, keep Perfume Femur so your finishing turns get past Blockers.
Boa Hancock (OP14-041) had 13 entries and no Top 8 in that window (source: Limitless TCG online platform, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). Treat this exact configuration as the baseline that won, and change one slot at a time.
Construction Traps
EB04-058 Borsalino is in a banned pair with OP07-115 I Re-Quasar Helllp!!, so the two cannot share a deck (source: Bandai official Banned/Restricted Card List, effective 2026-10-12).
The ban list also includes other printings of three names in this deck: OP06-047 Charlotte Pudding, OP06-086 Gecko Moria and OP03-040 Nami (source: Bandai official Banned/Restricted Card List, effective 2026-10-12). Check the card number on every copy you register.
Budget Options
The full list runs about $258 at TCGplayer market prices. You don't need all of it on day one. Check current singles prices yourself before you buy, because the expensive cards shift with every set. What matters here is which slots are structural, which you can trim, and what each trim costs you on the table.
The Non-Negotiable Core
Buy these first, whatever they cost. The deck does not function without them.
- Boa Hancock (Leader). The draw on your opponent's turn and the Life-stripping on K.O. are the whole engine. No other Leader runs this list.
- Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters, Shakuyaku. These Kuja Pirates and Amazon Lily bodies have 5000 base power, so they turn on the Leader's K.O. clause. Each one also plays itself off a Life Trigger under a Kuja Pirates Leader. Gorgon Sisters also needs three Amazon Lily or Kuja Pirates cards to reveal from hand, and that count only works with full playsets of these bodies. Running fewer than four of any of them weakens both the Trigger plan and the DON!! burst.
- Charlotte Pudding. Nearly every card in the deck has a Trigger, so its draw 3 is almost always live. It is your main card-flow tool before the opponent's Life drops to 3 or less and turns on Shakuyaku.
Where You Can Save
Most Character slots are already at four, so trimming one card only helps if you have somewhere to put the freed slots. The real overflow targets in this list are Bartholomew Kuma (2, can go to 4), You're the One Who Should Disappear. (2, can go to 4) and the single-copy Events. Every swap below moves copies into those slots.
| If this is the pricey playset | Trim to | Fill with | What you give up |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gecko Moria (4) | 2 | +2 Bartholomew Kuma | Fewer 10000 bodies. You also lose Triggers that replay Ran, Roronoa Zoro, Charlotte Pudding or Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) from trash. Its On Play does little here, since the list has no other Thriller Bark Pirates Characters, so you are mostly paying for the Trigger and the body. |
| Boa Hancock cost 9 (4) | 2 | +2 You're the One Who Should Disappear. | Fewer of your biggest swings. You lose copies of the card that adds 1 to your Life and takes 1 from theirs in the same On Play. You get more Counter defense in return, but your late-game closing power drops noticeably. |
| Nami (2) | 0 | Remaining Bartholomew Kuma or You're the One Who Should Disappear. copies | A Blocker that draws 3 and filters 2. Bartholomew Kuma gives you Life instead of card selection. That is a fair trade against aggro and worse against slower decks. |
| Gravity Blade Raging Tiger (1) | 0 | 1 Perfume Femur | Your only answer that removes two Characters at once. A second Perfume Femur keeps a Trigger in the slot and helps you push through Blockers on lethal turns, but it cannot remove anything. |
Don't make more than two of these swaps at once. Each one cuts top-end or Blockers, and the deck relies on 5000-plus bodies to trade into K.O.s that strip the opponent's Life. If you cut too much of the 6000-and-up curve, your Leader's ability stops firing.
Swaps to Avoid
- Cutting Roronoa Zoro, Borsalino or Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon). These are your Life-management tools. They refill Life or set up its top card, which feeds the Trigger plan. Without them, you lose the long game to anything aggressive.
- Cutting Trigger cards for Counter-only filler. Charlotte Pudding needs a Trigger card to trash, and the self-playing bodies need to be in Life to hit. Every non-Trigger card you add makes both weaker.
- Dropping the second Character Boa Hancock line (2 copies). Treat those slots as part of the Seven Warlords and Kuja Pirates count, not as flex.
Upgrade Path
- Foundation: the Leader, full sets of Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters, Shakuyaku and Charlotte Pudding, plus Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon), Roronoa Zoro and Borsalino. This shell already runs the core Trigger and Life engine.
- Defense and Events: Bartholomew Kuma, You're the One Who Should Disappear. and Perfume Femur. Fill these to whatever counts your budget build needs. They are the slots you will shuffle back down later.
- Top end: complete the cost-9 Boa Hancock playset first. It is the biggest single upgrade because it swings Life on both sides at once. Gecko Moria comes next.
- Final pieces: Nami and Gravity Blade Raging Tiger. These are refinements. Add them last, then return Bartholomew Kuma and You're the One Who Should Disappear. to two copies each.
A budget build that keeps the full Kuja and Amazon Lily core plays the same game as the full list. It just has fewer big swings. Expect to be a little weaker against midrange and control, where the cost-9 Boa Hancock and Gecko Moria do the most work. Against aggressive decks, where extra Life refill and Counters help, you lose very little.
Common Mistakes
This deck punishes autopilot. Most of its power sits behind conditions: Life thresholds, typing, DON!! attachments, and Trigger stacking. Most lost games come from missing one of those conditions at the wrong moment.
1. Passing the turn with no DON!! on your Leader
Your Boa Hancock Leader's Life-stripping clause is [DON!!x1]. K.O.s happen mostly on your opponent's turn, so if you spent every DON!! on your own turn, the clause is off when it matters. Fix: before you pass, check that your Leader has a DON!! attached. Ran does this almost for free. Its Activate: Main moves a rested DON!! onto a Kuja Pirates Leader, so play your cards first and then move one of the DON!! you already spent onto your Leader.
2. Expecting the Leader trigger from the wrong bodies
The K.O. clause only counts Amazon Lily or Kuja Pirates Characters with 5000 or more base power. In this list that means Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters, Shakuyaku, and the 9-cost Boa Hancock.
- Borsalino, Nami, Bartholomew Kuma, Gecko Moria, Roronoa Zoro, and Charlotte Pudding don't qualify.
- Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) has 0 power, so it doesn't qualify either.
Fix: when you block and want the trigger, block with Boa Marigold (it gains Blocker at 2 or less Life). Keep Borsalino and Nami for blocks where the trigger doesn't matter. The clause is also Once Per Turn, so a second qualifying K.O. in the same turn gets you nothing extra.
3. Overshooting your own Life thresholds
Two cards need you at 2 or less Life:
- Borsalino's On Play only adds Life if you have 2 or less.
- Boa Marigold only has Blocker at 2 or less.
Adding Life with Roronoa Zoro or Bartholomew Kuma first can switch off both. Fix: at 2 Life, play Borsalino before any other Life gain. If you are planning to block with Boa Marigold on your opponent's turn, count your Life after every addition. One Life too many can mean losing a Blocker you were relying on.
4. Stacking Life blind when you could stack it on purpose
Roronoa Zoro, Borsalino, and Bartholomew Kuma add the top card of your deck to your Life without you choosing it. That card might be one with no Trigger: Roronoa Zoro, Borsalino, Nami, or Bartholomew Kuma. Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) lets you take a Life card into hand and put a card of your choice on top instead. Fix: sequence blind Life gain before Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon). Then use its On Play to pull the unknown card and set a Trigger you want flipped, such as Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters, Shakuyaku, or the 9-cost Boa Hancock. Every Character played from a Trigger on your opponent's turn also draws you a card off the Leader.
5. Treating Gecko Moria's On Play as live
Gecko Moria's On Play only finds Thriller Bark Pirates Characters costing 4 or less. This list has none, so hard-casting it gets you a 10000-power body and nothing else. Its real value is the Trigger, which plays a 4-cost-or-less Character from your trash. Fix: stock the trash on purpose. When paying the trash costs on Charlotte Pudding, Roronoa Zoro, Bartholomew Kuma, or Shakuyaku, discard Ran, Roronoa Zoro, Charlotte Pudding, or Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) when you can spare them. A Gecko Moria flipped off Life that brings back Roronoa Zoro adds a Life card and draws you a card on your opponent's turn.
6. Countering away your Gorgon Sisters reveal
Gorgon Sisters needs three Amazon Lily or Kuja Pirates cards revealed from hand, and it only gives out rested DON!!. Players dump Shakuyaku and Gorgon Sisters for their +2000 Counters, then find they can't make the reveal. Others activate before resting anything, so there is no DON!! to hand out. Fix: on turns you plan to swing wide, counter with Charlotte Pudding, Nami, or Borsalino first and protect your Kuja/Amazon count. Spend your DON!! on plays before you activate Gorgon Sisters.
7. Casting conditional cards off-condition
- Shakuyaku's draw-2/trash-2 only works when your opponent has 3 or less Life. Above that, hard-casting it is just a 6-cost 5000-power body. Hold it, or keep it as a Counter.
- Perfume Femur is a single copy that stops Blockers for the turn its target attacks. Spending it on a mid-game swing wastes your best lethal tool.
- Gravity Blade Raging Tiger is your only Main-phase answer to two Characters. Save it for the turn that clearing the board actually changes the race.
8. Pulling opponent Life on autopilot
Both the Leader and the 9-cost Boa Hancock say "up to 1," and every pull puts a card in your opponent's hand. Fix: pull when it sets up lethal or brings them under 3 Life for Shakuyaku. When it would only refuel a hand that is low on Counters, think twice before taking it.
Tournament Prep & Final Notes
Register the Right Printings
Several names in this list share a name with banned cards, so check every card number before you submit. Your Charlotte Pudding must be OP17-109, your Nami OP11-054, and your Gecko Moria OP14-104. OP06-047 Pudding, OP03-040 Nami and OP06-086 Moria are all banned. Borsalino EB04-058 is also half of a banned pair: it cannot share a deck with OP07-115 (source: Bandai official Banned/Restricted Card List, effective 2026-10-12). If you tune the list later, don't add that Event. The list runs two separate Boa Hancock Character entries, so confirm both card numbers match the list you mean to play.
Rules Interactions to Know Cold
- Trigger plays still count as playing a Character. Your Leader's draw fires on your opponent's turn whenever you play a Character. That includes Triggers from Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon), Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters and Shakuyaku, plus whatever Gecko Moria's Trigger pulls from the trash. Every one of those flips draws you a card on top of the body. The Kuja Triggers all check that your Leader has the Kuja Pirates type, and yours does.
- The 9-cost Boa Hancock Trigger plays a different card. She isn't played herself. She puts a Character with 6000 power or less and a Trigger from your hand into play, which also fires the Leader draw. Before every opponent's attack, know which Trigger Characters are in your hand.
- The Leader's K.O. clause needs a DON!! and checks base power. It is [DON!!x1] and [Once Per Turn]. It counts only Amazon Lily or Kuja Pirates Characters with 5000 base power or more:
- It counts Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters, Shakuyaku and the 9-cost Boa Hancock.
- It never counts Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon), Roronoa Zoro, Borsalino, Bartholomew Kuma, Nami or Gecko Moria.
- Extra DON!! does not raise base power.
- Gecko Moria's On Play is blank here. This list has no Thriller Bark Pirates Character with cost 4 or less. His value is the 10000 body and his Trigger, which can return Charlotte Pudding, Ran, Roronoa Zoro or Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) from your trash.
- Life thresholds run in both directions.
- Borsalino's Life add and Boa Marigold's Blocker turn on at 2 or fewer of your Life.
- Shakuyaku's draw turns on at 3 or fewer of your opponent's Life.
- You're the One Who Should Disappear.'s Trigger only does something at 0 Life.
- Bartholomew Kuma's +2 cost lasts through your opponent's next End Phase. A 6-cost Kuma becomes 8 for that window, which can take it out of range of cost-based removal.
- Perfume Femur hits more targets than you might think. Your Leader, Boa Hancock, Gorgon Sisters, Bartholomew Kuma and Gecko Moria all carry The Seven Warlords of the Sea type. Each can take the +2000 and the no-Blocker clause.
What to Practice
Put most of your reps into Life sequencing. Roronoa Zoro, Bartholomew Kuma, Borsalino and the 9-cost Boa Hancock all stack cards on top of your Life. Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) then lets you swap a known card in. Practice choosing what sits on top so your opponent's next hit flips a Trigger Character rather than a dead card.
For opponents, the online data before this event points to two decks to prepare for. Rocks.D.Xebec held 8 of 32 Top 8 slots and Luffy & Ace held 6 (source: Limitless TCG online platform, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). Practice those two first. Against both, work on when to hold Counter cards and when to pitch them to Zoro-style costs. The Matchup Matrix covers the specific plans.
Finally, drill Gorgon Sisters turns. You need three Amazon Lily or Kuja Pirates cards in hand to reveal. Learn to spot one turn early whether you'll have them.
Clock Management
This deck makes a lot of small choices:
- discards for Charlotte Pudding and Zoro
- top-or-bottom placement for Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) and Nami
- Trigger choices on your opponent's turn
The opponent's-turn decisions are where clocks bleed. Decide which Trigger target you'll play from Boa Hancock before your opponent finishes declaring the attack, not after the flip. Plan your Nami bottom-of-deck order during your opponent's turn. If you're ahead on Life late, don't spend minutes optimizing a Shakuyaku discard. Take the clear line and keep pace.
Final Assessment
The RESULT line backs this list: 1st place in a 128-player field. The card text explains why it can grind there:
- Your opponent's attacks often hand you free Characters and free cards.
- Your Life total keeps refilling.
- Your Leader turns your own trades into lost Life for the other side.
The cost is complexity. The deck rewards precise Life stacking and punishes autopilot. Bring it if you're willing to learn those Trigger and threshold interactions well enough to play them at speed.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Boa Hancock Blue/Yellow deck win games?
It treats both players' Life as a resource. Opponent attacks flip Trigger Characters that play for free and draw you a card through the Leader, while the Leader and the cost-9 Boa Hancock strip the opponent's Life without attacking. You close with 10000-power bodies and a wide, DON!!-loaded board.
Which Characters turn on the Leader's Life-stripping K.O. ability?
Only Amazon Lily or Kuja Pirates Characters with 5000 or more base power count: Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters, Shakuyaku and the cost-9 Boa Hancock. The ability needs a DON!! attached to your Leader and works once per turn.
What are the key cards in the Boa Hancock Trigger deck?
The core is full sets of Ran, Boa Marigold, Gorgon Sisters and Shakuyaku, plus Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) and Charlotte Pudding as the Life-shaping and card-flow engine. The cost-9 Boa Hancock is the finisher that adds a Life to you and strips one from the opponent.
Does Gecko Moria's On Play do anything in this list?
No. This list has no Thriller Bark Pirates Characters, so its On Play is blank. You play Gecko Moria for the 10000-power body and its Trigger, which replays a cost-4-or-less Character such as Ran or Roronoa Zoro from your trash.
What is the hardest matchup for Boa Hancock?
Slow control is rated Unfavored because the engine idles when you aren't being attacked. Push early damage to bring them under 4 Life, then let the cost-9 Boa Hancock and the Leader's K.O. trigger strip the rest. Aggro is the deck's favored matchup.
What budget swaps can I make for the Boa Hancock deck?
The guide suggests trimming Gecko Moria to 2 for two more Bartholomew Kuma, or the cost-9 Boa Hancock to 2 for two more You're the One Who Should Disappear.. Don't make more than two such swaps at once, and never cut the Leader or the full Kuja and Amazon Lily core.
Which card printings are banned or restricted for this deck?
OP06-047 Charlotte Pudding, OP03-040 Nami and OP06-086 Gecko Moria are banned, so register OP17-109 Charlotte Pudding, OP11-054 Nami and OP14-104 Gecko Moria. EB04-058 Borsalino cannot share a deck with OP07-115 I Re-Quasar Helllp!!.
What should I practice before taking Boa Hancock to a tournament?
Put most of your reps into Life sequencing, using Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) to control which Trigger sits on top of your Life. Practice against Rocks.D.Xebec and Luffy & Ace first, and drill Gorgon Sisters turns so you spot the three-card reveal a turn early.
