Archetype Overview

Charlotte Pudding is a Purple/Yellow Big Mom Pirates midrange deck that treats Life as a resource. It pulls cards out of Life, flips them face-up, and puts new ones back on top, and it uses Purple's DON!! ramp to reach a top end that grows its board at once. The list is built around one payoff, Charlotte Linlin. Almost every other card either helps you cast her or gets much stronger once she's on the field. This build took Top 4 at ChinoizeCup #124 Monday (2026-10-19), a 128-player event, played by Limitless user ImAzire.

The Plan

The Charlotte Pudding Leader is a ramp engine that attacks. Each time she swings, you can turn 2 Life cards face-up to add a rested DON!!. Add Yamato (Blocker, ramps a rested DON!! on play) and the 8-cost Charlotte Katakuri (Blocker, ramps at the end of your turn and sets 2 of your 3-cost-or-higher Big Mom Pirates Characters active), and you get to 10 DON!! well ahead of a normal curve.

The middle of the deck is a wall of 4000-power Yellow Characters with Trigger:

The Life-adding cards among them refill your Life from the top of your deck. Daifuku, Cracker, the 6-cost Katakuri and Sweet 3 Generals all say "Play this card" when revealed as a Trigger. So Life you rebuild can come back as free Characters when your opponent hits you.

Then Charlotte Linlin lands. During your turn, the base power of every Character with a Trigger and 4000 base power becomes 8000. A board of 4000s turns into a board of 8000s in one play. Linlin also draws a card and either adds to your Life or takes the top card of your opponent's Life into their hand.

Why the Plan Is Strong

  • Life works both ways. Zeus cashes in a Life card to K.O. a Character of cost 5 or less. The 6-cost Katakuri, Sweet 3 Generals, Cracker and Linlin put Life back. You can spend Life for tempo early and rebuild it later, which most decks can't do.
  • Face-up Life is useful. The Leader's flip is a cost, but it also turns on Charlotte Smoothie. Smoothie K.O.s a cost-2-or-less Character when you have face-up Life, then turns all your Life face-down again.
  • The 2-cost Katakuri skips the curve. The 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri can trash itself to play a 3-cost-or-higher Katakuri from your hand. That Katakuri's cost only has to be at or below the number of DON!! on your opponent's field. Against a wide DON!! board, that means a 6-cost or 8-cost Katakuri for the price of a 2-drop.
  • Trigger density pays you twice. The Character Charlotte Pudding trashes a Trigger card from hand to draw 3. You have plenty of Trigger cards to feed her. The Event We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!! digs for Big Mom Pirates pieces from hand or from Life.
  • Removal at every stage. You have:
    • Zeus and Smoothie on the low curve
    • -3000 power from the 6-cost Katakuri and Sweet 3 Generals (up to two targets)
    • Mamaragan to rest a 5000-or-less Character
    • Conquest of the Sea to clear two cost-6-or-less Characters
Mamaragan and Conquest both cost DON!! returned to your DON!! deck. That hurts less in a deck that keeps ramping.
  • Defense that replaces itself. Streusen, Zeus, Daifuku and Smoothie all carry +2000 Counter. Mamaragan counters for +1000 and draws a card while you have 6 or fewer DON!! on your field, which is exactly the early turns when you need cards most.

What It Asks of You

This deck is not an autopilot. Before every Leader attack, you decide whether 2 face-up Life cards are worth a DON!!. Those flipped cards show your opponent which Triggers are coming. You decide when Zeus can spend a Life card and when you need it as a buffer. You also have to sequence the Life-adding Characters so the cards you put on top are ones you want to reveal later.

Count your opponent's DON!! every turn, because that number sets how big a Katakuri the 2-cost one can fetch. Count your own DON!! too: it decides whether Mamaragan draws and how close you are to Linlin.

Who Should Pick It Up

Play this if you like midrange that wins through resource management and one decisive turn rather than racing. It suits players who:

  • count DON!! on both sides without thinking
  • are comfortable spending Life on purpose
  • can hold back an attack when flipping Life would hand the opponent too much information

If you want a low-decision aggro deck, look elsewhere. Every turn here involves real choices, and misplaying the Life sequence costs games. At about $180 (TCGplayer market prices, approximate), it costs a moderate amount for a list with this much removal and late-game power. You also get a clear payoff: a turn where Linlin doubles your board.

Core Strategy & Game Plan

This is a ramp-midrange deck that treats Life as a resource. You spend Life to accelerate DON!! and to remove threats, then refill it with Trigger-heavy Characters. Each refill both rebuilds your buffer and seeds your Life with cards that fight back when you get hit. The game ends when Charlotte Linlin lands and every 4000-power Trigger Character on your board swings at 8000.

How the deck wins

Charlotte Linlin sets the base power of all your Characters with a [Trigger] and 4000 base power to 8000 during your turn. That covers Charlotte Daifuku, the Charlotte Pudding Character, Charlotte Cracker, the 6-cost Charlotte Katakuri and Sweet 3 Generals. A board of three or four of those becomes a wall of 8000 attackers the opponent has to counter one by one. Linlin's On Play also draws a card and either adds a Life to you or pulls the top of the opponent's Life into their hand, which takes a Life off them without having to connect.

The 8-cost Charlotte Katakuri closes the loop. At the end of your turn it sets up to 2 of your Big Mom Pirates Characters with cost 3 or more back to active. Your best attackers swing, then stand back up and can't be targeted on the crack-back. Katakuri is also a 8000 Blocker on its own.

The engine: Life in, Life out

  • Spending Life: the Charlotte Pudding Leader turns 2 Life face-up on attack to add a rested DON!!. Zeus takes a Life card from the top or bottom to K.O. a cost-5-or-less Character. Face-up cards tell you exactly what you're taking with Zeus.
  • Cashing in face-up Life: Charlotte Smoothie needs a face-up Life card to K.O. a cost-2-or-less Character. It then turns all your Life face-down, so the opponent loses what the Leader showed them.
  • Refilling Life: the 6-cost Charlotte Katakuri, Sweet 3 Generals, Charlotte Cracker and Linlin all add the top card of your deck to your Life. Much of the deck carries [Trigger], so those refills are often live: Daifuku, Cracker, Katakuri and Sweet 3 Generals play themselves, and the Pudding Character and We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!! dig for a Big Mom Pirates card.
  • The [Your Turn] catch: when the 6-cost Katakuri, Sweet 3 Generals or Cracker come off a Trigger on the opponent's turn, you get the body, but their [Your Turn] [On Play] effects don't resolve. Plan your Life adds for the 4000-power blockers they give you, not the effects.

Ramp and the DON!! recycle

The Leader, Yamato and the 8-cost Katakuri all pull DON!! from your DON!! deck. That puts Linlin and the double-Katakuri turn a turn or more ahead of the normal curve. Mamaragan's Main mode and Conquest of the Sea both return 2 DON!! to the DON!! deck. That costs you tempo, but it also refills the pool your ramp draws from. Ramp stops once your DON!! deck is empty, so returning DON!! late is less painful than it looks.

The 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri scales with the opponent's own ramp. Trash it to play a Katakuri from hand with cost up to the number of DON!! on their field:

  • At 6 or more, you can drop the 6-cost Katakuri for two cost.
  • At 8 or more, you can drop the 8-cost one.

Because you play it on your turn, the 6-cost Katakuri's On Play fires. You get the Life add and the -3000.

Posture

Play proactive on board and reactive with your Life. You develop every turn and attack with the Leader whenever the ramp is worth the information you give up. You don't race. The Life refills and Trigger bodies let you absorb hits that would end other decks. Your removal answers specific threats instead of clearing boards: Zeus, Smoothie, Conquest of the Sea, plus the -3000 from Katakuri and Sweet 3 Generals. The deck wins long games, so make each early resource trade buy you time rather than chasing damage.

The ideal game

  1. Early turns: set up and ramp.
    • Streusen and We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!! find Big Mom Pirates pieces.
    • Yamato adds a DON!! and gives you a Blocker.
    • Attack with the Leader to ramp when the flipped Life won't hand the opponent a free read on a key Trigger.
    • Save Mamaragan for its Counter mode while you have 6 or fewer DON!! on field, so it draws.
  2. Mid-game: start the refill engine.
    • Land the 6-cost Katakuri or Sweet 3 Generals, by hard cast or via the 2-cost Katakuri.
    • Add Life and shrink blockers or attackers with the -3000.
    • Play the Pudding Character and trash a spare Trigger card to draw 3.
    • Use Zeus and Smoothie on threats while your Life is high enough to pay.
  3. Late game: win in one big turn.
    • Play Linlin with several Trigger Characters already on board and swing at 8000.
    • Hold the 8-cost Katakuri until that turn, so its end-of-turn effect sets your two best attackers back to active.
    • Fire Conquest of the Sea before the swing to clear up to two blockers or threats at cost 6 or less.

Card Choices & Breakdown

The Trigger Bodies (18 cards)

These cards are the core of the list: 4 Charlotte Daifuku, 4 Charlotte Pudding (OP17-109), 2 Charlotte Cracker, 4 Charlotte Katakuri (OP17-103, cost 6) and 4 Sweet 3 Generals. All five are Big Mom Pirates, all have 4000 base power, and all have a Trigger. That exact profile is what Charlotte Linlin rewards: on your turn, every one of them becomes an 8000 attacker.

The [Your Turn] tag on the On Play effects of Charlotte Cracker, the 6-cost Charlotte Katakuri and Sweet 3 Generals matters. When one of them flips from Life during your opponent's turn, the Trigger puts the body on the field, but the On Play does nothing. You get a free 4000 Character, not the Life gain or the -3000. Hard-casting these cards on your own turn is what makes them strong. A Trigger hit is a bonus.

  • Charlotte Daifuku (4): This is a pure Trigger body with a +2000 Counter. It is the best card to trash for Pudding's draw, because it does the least from your hand.
  • Charlotte Pudding (4): Trash one Trigger card to draw three. This is the main card-advantage engine. Its own Trigger searches Big Mom Pirates instead of playing itself.
  • Sweet 3 Generals (4) over Charlotte Cracker (2): Both rest 2 DON!! to add a Life. Generals also draws a card and gives -3000 to two Characters. Cracker is the 3-cost version for turns before you reach 6, so it gets the smaller count.
  • 6-cost Charlotte Katakuri (4): Life gain plus -3000 with no DON!! rest cost. It is also the main target for the Katakuri chain below.

The Payoff: Charlotte Linlin (4)

Running four copies of a 10-cost card is the clearest signal of what this list is doing. It only works because the Leader, Yamato and the 8-cost Katakuri all ramp you. Linlin draws a card and then does one of two things. She adds a Life when you need to stabilize, or she takes the top card of your opponent's Life to their hand when you're closing. Her passive turns your board of Trigger bodies into a lethal threat. The cost of the full playset is that she has no Counter value. Pudding's draw-three and Mamaragan keep those dead early draws from choking your hand.

The Katakuri Chain

The 4 Charlotte Katakuri (OP08-062, cost 2) trash themselves to play a Katakuri of cost 3 or more from hand. That Katakuri's cost can be no higher than the number of DON!! on your opponent's field. Once they have 6 DON!! out, 2 DON!! buys the 6-cost Katakuri with its full On Play, because you play it on your turn. At 8, you can cheat in the 2 Charlotte Katakuri (OP11-067, cost 8). That one is an 8000 Blocker that, at the end of your turn, sets two Big Mom Pirates of cost 3 or more active and ramps another DON!!. You get to attack with your Linlin-boosted bodies and not leave them rested.

The 8-drop stays at two because it has no Counter and is mostly a chain target. Four copies of the 2-cost enabler keep the chain live, and each one is still a 3000 body with a +1000 Counter when the chain isn't on.

DON!! Acceleration

The Leader flips 2 Life face-up to ramp a rested DON!! on attack. Yamato (4) does the same on play, and its Blocker gives you a chump blocker. Note that Yamato is Land of Wano, not Big Mom Pirates. Streusen, We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!! and Pudding's Trigger can't find it, and the 8-cost Katakuri can't stand it back up.

Ramp creates one tension you should track. Mamaragan's Counter only draws while you have 6 or fewer DON!! on your field. Early it is a cantrip, and late it is a plain +1000.

Search

  • Streusen (4): A 1-cost look at 3 for a Big Mom Pirates card, with a +2000 Counter. It is a cheap play that finds Linlin or a chain piece.
  • We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!! (2): Looks deeper, at 5 cards. It carries a Trigger, so it is live from Life and also counts as Pudding fodder.

Removal and Life Spending

  • Zeus (3): K.O. a Character of cost 5 or less by taking a Life card into your hand. It is three copies, not four, because each one spends a Life. You only refill Life on your own turn, usually by resting 2 DON!!, so a fourth copy strains a 4-Life Leader.
  • Charlotte Smoothie (2): Needs a face-up Life, which your Leader's attack supplies. It K.O.s a Character of cost 2 or less, then turns your Life face-down. That resets the board for your next Leader attack. The narrow target range keeps it at two.
  • Conquest of the Sea (1): Two K.O.s on cost 6 or less, for 6 cost plus returning 2 DON!!. It is a single copy because it is a heavy turn. The -3000 effects on Katakuri and Generals cover most smaller boards anyway.
  • Mamaragan (4): Costs 0. Its Main draws a card and rests a Character with 5000 power or less, but it returns 2 DON!!. It doubles as a Counter.
  • Charlotte Pudding!! (2): Fills the remaining Event slots. Weigh it against Mamaragan and Conquest of the Sea for what your local field demands.

Counter Profile

You have thirteen +2000 Counters: 4 Charlotte Daifuku, 4 Streusen, 3 Zeus and 2 Charlotte Smoothie. Add four Mamaragan, and the rest of the Characters offer +1000. Spend Charlotte Daifuku and Streusen first. Your 6-drops and Pudding are worth more on the board than in a single battle.

Reading the list

  • Trigger density is the point. Eighteen Characters are 4000-base-power Trigger cards: Charlotte Daifuku, Charlotte Pudding (OP17-109), Charlotte Cracker, Charlotte Katakuri (OP17-103) and Sweet 3 Generals. Every one of them becomes an 8000 attacker under Charlotte Linlin. They also feed the discard cost on Charlotte Pudding (OP17-109). Don't cut them for non-Trigger tech.
  • Counter count: 13 cards give +2000, 22 give +1000, and Mamaragan adds four more Counter Events. Only Charlotte Linlin and the 8-cost Charlotte Katakuri have no Counter value. If you change a flex slot, keep the total Counter count roughly where it is.
  • Katakuri package: the 4-4-2 split across the three printings is deliberate. The 2-cost copy is only as good as the bigger Katakuri cards you hold, so if you trim the 8-cost, consider trimming the 2-cost alongside it.

Opening Hands & Mulligan

What a Keepable Hand Needs

This Leader converts Life into tempo, so your opening five has to do two things: give you plays on your early curve, and hold enough Counter value that exposing Life with the Leader doesn't get you punished. Check for three things:

A hand with two of those three is a keep. A hand with one is a redraw unless that one is the best card in the deck for the hand you hold.

Snap Keeps

Send It Back

  • Top-heavy hands. Two or more of Charlotte Linlin, the 8-cost Charlotte Katakuri, Sweet 3 Generals, and Conquest of the Sea with no 1-3 cost plays. You cannot ramp a hand that has nothing to cast.
  • The 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri as your only early play. Its ability needs your opponent to have at least 6 DON!! on their field before it can find even the 6-cost Katakuri. Early on it is a 3000 body with a +1000 Counter. That is filler, not a plan.
  • Zero-Counter hands. Every Leader attack that uses the ability turns two Life cards face-up. Without Counters you are giving away information and Life at the same time.

Going First

You get 1 DON!! on turn 1, so the only plays are Streusen or We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!!. Use them to sculpt toward a 3-cost. On your second turn, with 3 DON!!, Yamato is the priority because the rested DON!! it adds refreshes for your next turn. Once you attack with the Leader, take the ramp whenever your hand can defend the exposed Life. A typical line looks like this:

Going first, value Yamato and the 3-cost Charlotte Pudding above early removal. Your opponent has very little on board for Zeus to hit.

Going Second

You start with 2 DON!!, which opens Zeus, the 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri, or Streusen plus We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!!. Zeus trades a Life card for a K.O., so only fire it on turn 1 if their first play is a real threat. Otherwise hold it for something worth the Life. Your second turn at 4 DON!! supports Yamato plus Streusen, or the 3-cost Charlotte Pudding plus a 1-drop. By your third turn, 6 natural DON!! plus Yamato and Leader ramp can reach 8. That covers Sweet 3 Generals with its 2-DON!! rest cost paid.

Going second also means you pass 6 DON!! sooner. Mamaragan stops drawing off its Counter earlier, so treat it as a plain +1000 Counter from the midgame on.

Matchups That Change the Keep

  • Aggro and wide boards. Count Counters first and payoffs second.
    • Zeus (cost 5 or less) and Charlotte Smoothie (cost 2 or less) are premium here.
    • Charlotte Smoothie only fires with a face-up Life card, so plan to attack with the Leader first. Its reset flips your Life back down.
    • Be stingier with Leader ramp. Exposed Life against a fast clock adds up.
    • A hand with Yamato, two +2000 Counters, and a removal piece beats a greedy Charlotte Linlin hand.
  • Control and slower midrange. Keep greedier. A hand with Charlotte Linlin, the 3-cost Charlotte Pudding, and a Trigger to trash is fine with fewer Counters, because you have time to ramp and refill.
  • Decks that ramp their own DON!! quickly. The 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri goes live sooner because it counts the DON!! on your opponent's field. Against these decks it is a reasonable keep alongside a Katakuri in hand.
  • Decks that return DON!! to pay costs. These keep their DON!! count lower, so the 2-cost Katakuri comes online later. Don't count on it.

Sequencing & Key Lines

Turns 1–3: Dig First, Ramp Second

Lead with Streusen whenever you have it. Almost every card in the deck is a {Big Mom Pirates} hit off its top three. The exceptions are Yamato, Mamaragan and We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!!. Use the dig to find whichever piece your hand is missing: a 3-drop, Trigger fodder, or the cost-2 Charlotte Katakuri.

At 3 DON!!, choose based on your hand:

  • Yamato is the default. You get a Blocker and a rested DON!!, which puts you a turn ahead on the curve toward your cost-6 cards.
  • Charlotte Pudding (Character) is the play when your hand holds a spare Trigger card. Trash Charlotte Daifuku first because it has no other text. Keep the cost-6 Triggers, since they carry real On Play value.

The Leader Attack: When to Flip

Your Leader's ramp costs no Life. It costs information: two face-up Life cards tell the opponent exactly which Triggers they're walking into. Flip on the early turns, when the extra DON!! brings forward your first Sweet 3 Generals or cost-6 Charlotte Katakuri. The DON!! arrives rested, so you're always buying next turn's mana, not this turn's.

Ramp has a cost. Mamaragan's Counter only draws if you have 6 or fewer DON!! on your field. If your defense relies on Mamaragan, don't flip past 6 without a payoff to cast.

The key ordering with Charlotte Smoothie: attack with your Leader first and flip, then play Smoothie. The face-up Life you just created turns on its K.O. of a cost-2-or-less Character, and Smoothie then turns all your Life face-down again. You get the ramp without leaving the information exposed.

Mid-Game: The Katakuri Cheat

Once the cost-2 Charlotte Katakuri is on board, count the opponent's DON!! before you spend anything:

  • 6 or more: trash it to play the cost-6 Charlotte Katakuri from hand. Because this happens on your turn, the On Play fires. You add a card to Life and give one of their Characters -3000. Do this before your attacks so the -3000 clears a Blocker or a Character you want to attack into.
  • 8 or more: the cost-8 Charlotte Katakuri becomes available. It gives you a Blocker, and its End of Your Turn effect untaps two Characters and ramps.

This means you hold the big Katakuri in hand rather than hard-casting it when the cheat is a turn away. Effects that make your opponent return DON!! lower their count, so recount after they use them.

The Linlin Turn

Charlotte Linlin turns every Trigger Character with 4000 base power into an 8000 attacker on your turn. That covers Charlotte Daifuku, Charlotte Pudding, Charlotte Cracker, the cost-6 Charlotte Katakuri and Sweet 3 Generals. Characters played this turn won't be the ones swinging, so build that board the turn before you reach 10.

For the On Play mode, take their top Life card when you're counting lethal. Add to your own Life when you're stabilizing. If the cost-8 Katakuri is out, swing with your 8000s and then untap two of them at end of turn so they aren't available as attack targets.

Small Edges

  • Zeus, top or bottom: if your Leader has flipped the top Life card face-up, you know exactly what you take from the top. Take the bottom when the face-up card is a Trigger you'd rather leave in Life.
  • Trigger-played Characters are bodies only. Charlotte Cracker, the cost-6 Charlotte Katakuri and Sweet 3 Generals have [Your Turn] On Plays, so revealing them off a Trigger on the opponent's turn gives you a 4000 Character and no effect. Value them as blockers-in-waiting, not removal.
  • Pay the DON!! rests before you attach DON!!. Charlotte Cracker and Sweet 3 Generals require resting 2 of your DON!!, and the ramped DON!! already arrives rested. Budget your active DON!! before you start attaching it.
  • Conquest of the Sea at 10 DON!!: once your DON!! deck is empty, the Leader, Yamato and the cost-8 Katakuri ramp nothing. Returning 2 DON!! for a double K.O. effectively turns those ramp effects back on.
  • We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!! is a fine early play when you're missing a piece. Late, it's a Trigger you'd rather leave in your deck than spend a DON!! on.

Playing Around Interaction

Whatever the opponent's deck, you're playing around the same things: Blockers and Counters on defense, and removal aimed at your board. Apply your debuffs before you declare attacks. Use the -3000 from Sweet 3 Generals and the cost-6 Katakuri to shrink or remove Blockers. The [Main] of Mamaragan rests one Character with 5000 power or less, which takes a Blocker out of the fight for that turn.

Keep the cost-2 Katakuri and your cost-6 threats in separate turns where you can. If one removal spell answers your whole board, you've overcommitted. Hold at least one Mamaragan as a Counter through the turns you're ramping, because it is your cheapest defense.

Rocks.D.Xebec

This is the deck to beat. It took 8 of 32 Top 8 slots and made Top 8 in all four counted events (source: Limitless online standings, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). Its Top 8 lists share a large four-copy core, so you will see the same threats game after game. Learn which of them fall under Zeus's cost 5 or less and Conquest of the Sea's cost 6 or less before you sit down.

Never spend Conquest of the Sea on one target. It costs you six DON!! and returns two, so it needs two K.O.s to pay off. Bank Life with Charlotte Katakuri (cost 6) and Sweet 3 Generals so the Charlotte Linlin turn arrives while you can still absorb a swing back.

Luffy & Ace

This is the second-most-successful Leader in the window, with 6 Top 8 slots from 31 entries (source: Limitless online standings, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). Keep Yamato or the 8-cost Charlotte Katakuri on board as a Blocker each turn. Spend Mamaragan as a Counter while you are at 6 or fewer DON!! so it also draws a card. That stops being free once your Leader and Yamato ramp you past six, so use the cheap copies early. For that side of the matchup, see our Luffy & Ace Standard guide.

Monkey.D.Luffy (OP17-079)

This Leader had 29 entries, 3 Top 8 slots and 1 win (source: Limitless online standings, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). Watch your Life count closely. Zeus pulls a Life card into your hand to K.O., and your Leader turns two Life cards face-up, which tells the opponent which Triggers they are swinging into. When your Life is low, skip Zeus and get removal from Sweet 3 Generals and Mamaragan's rest effect instead. For that side of the matchup, see our Monkey.D.Luffy Standard guide.

Kalgara

Kalgara won ChinoizeCup #122 and put a second copy into 5th place there (source: Limitless online standings, 2026-10-13). Win this matchup by never wasting a turn. Chain Streusen and We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!! to find your 6-drops on curve. Rest a Character with Mamaragan instead of trading Characters you need later. For that side of the matchup, see our Kalgara Standard guide.

Sabo

Sabo had 18 entries for 2 Top 8 slots (source: Limitless online standings, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). Hold Sweet 3 Generals and Conquest of the Sea until the opponent commits two Characters worth answering. If you fire them into a thin board, you have nothing left for the board that actually threatens you. For that side of the matchup, see our Sabo Standard guide.

Pudding mirror

Charlotte Pudding had 18 entries for 1 Top 8 (source: Limitless online standings, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19), so expect the mirror.

  • Read their Life. Their face-up Life shows you which Triggers you will hit.
  • Use Linlin's second mode. Charlotte Linlin can move their top Life card to their hand. When that card is Charlotte Daifuku or a 6-cost Trigger, its Trigger never fires.
  • Play Katakuri early. Both sides ramp DON!! through the Leader and Yamato, so the opponent's DON!! count rises quickly. That lets the 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri put the 8-cost copy into play earlier than usual. Keep that line in mind from turn three onward.
  • Answer cheap blockers. Charlotte Smoothie cleans up cost-2 bodies. It also turns your Life face-down, hiding your Triggers from an opponent who reads them the same way you do.

Aggro / go-wide

This is your best matchup by strategy.

Avoid Zeus against fast starts. Handing yourself a Life card speeds up their clock.

Control / slow value

The Life-gain package matters less here. Card flow decides it. Discard a spare Trigger card to the Charlotte Pudding Character to draw three. Don't run your engine pieces into removal one at a time. Build to a Charlotte Linlin turn where several 4000-base Trigger Characters become 8000 at once, so a single answer can't undo your turn.

Tech Choices & Variations

Most of this 50 is locked. The four-ofs are the engine: Streusen, the cost-2 Charlotte Katakuri, Yamato, Charlotte Daifuku, the Character Charlotte Pudding, the cost-6 Charlotte Katakuri, Sweet 3 Generals, Charlotte Linlin and Mamaragan. Don't touch them. The real flex is the eleven cards in odd counts: 3 Zeus, 2 Charlotte Smoothie, 2 Charlotte Cracker, 2 cost-8 Charlotte Katakuri, 2 We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!!, 2 Charlotte Pudding!! and 1 Conquest of the Sea. Every card you add has to come out of that pool.

Removal Package: Zeus vs. Smoothie vs. Conquest

Zeus is your most flexible removal because cost 5 or less covers most of the board. The price is Life: you take one card from the top or bottom of your Life into your hand. Because your Leader flips top Life cards face-up, you'll often know exactly what you're taking from the top. Against aggro that Life matters. If you cut Zeus to 2, the natural add is a third Charlotte Smoothie. Smoothie only hits cost 2 or less, but it never costs Life, and your Leader's attack trigger switches on its face-up condition for you. It also turns your Life face-down again, which takes back the information you gave away.

A second Conquest of the Sea is the move if your field floods the board with Characters you can't handle one at a time. It costs 6 and sends 2 DON!! back to your DON!! deck. Copy two is clunky in a hand that already holds a cost-6 and a Charlotte Linlin, so only add it if one-for-one removal keeps falling behind.

Swaps That Cost More Than They Look

Tuning for Your Local Field

Online, Rocks.D.Xebec took 8 of 32 Top 8 slots from 46 of 256 entries (source: Limitless TCG online platform, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). Luffy & Ace took 6 slots from 31 entries over the same events (source: Limitless TCG online platform, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). If your locals look like that, test the flex removal against the cost curves of those decks' key Characters first. Then set your Zeus, Charlotte Smoothie and Conquest of the Sea counts based on what actually connects.

Budget Options

The list runs about $180 at TCGplayer market prices. Prices move, so check current listings before you buy. Don't plan around which card "should" be expensive. Sort the 50 by how much the deck loses when a slot changes, then spend in that order.

The Cards You Can't Cut

These slots are the engine. Swap them and you're playing a different, weaker deck, so budget for them first no matter what they cost.

Deck rules allow up to 4 copies per card number. That's why three different Charlotte Katakuri printings sit in the list at once. When you buy, confirm the set number, not just the name.

The Flexible Slots

The cheapest way to save money is to swap cards for more copies of cards already in the list. Your Trigger count, Big Mom Pirates density and counter values stay intact, and you don't take a chance on an untested outside card.

If this is the pricey slotReplace withWhat you give up
8-cost Charlotte Katakuri (2)Charlotte Cracker #3 and #4You lose a Blocker and the end-of-turn untap plus DON!! ramp. You gain more Triggers that hit 8000 under Charlotte Linlin and add Life. This is the softest cut in the deck.
Conquest of the Sea (1)Zeus #4You trade a double K.O. that costs DON!! for a single K.O. that costs a Life card. It's worse against wide boards but cheaper to deploy.
Charlotte Smoothie (2)Zeus #4, or Charlotte CrackerYou lose cheap removal that uses your Leader's face-up Life and resets it face-down. Both replacements keep a +2000 or +1000 Counter.
Charlotte Pudding!! (2)We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!! #3 and #4You lose that Event's specific role in the list. You keep a Big Mom Pirates search that also works as a Trigger.
Mamaragan (4)Go down to 2, add Zeus #4 and Charlotte Cracker #3You lose counters that cost 0 DON!! and draw a card, and your defense drops noticeably. Only make this cut as a last resort.

If you reach outside the list, use only Big Mom Pirates cards you've confirmed are legal in Standard. The replacement should do one of three jobs: carry a Charlotte Linlin-eligible Trigger at 4000 base power, search, or carry a +2000 Counter. Anything else weakens the core synergies.

What Budget Versions Lose

Every swap above shares one weakness: you lose answers to your opponent's board. Conquest of the Sea, Charlotte Smoothie and Mamaragan are how you handle wide boards and protect your Leader through midgame swings. A budget build still has the same top end. It just has fewer ways to survive until that top end arrives. Against aggro, that gap is the difference between stabilizing and dying on the turn before Charlotte Linlin lands. Against slower decks you'll rarely notice it.

Never budget by cutting Trigger Characters for non-Trigger cards. Each one you remove makes your Life weaker as a resource and gives Charlotte Linlin fewer bodies to power up.

Upgrade Path

  1. Build the core: the Leader, playsets of Streusen, Yamato, Charlotte Daifuku, the 3-cost Charlotte Pudding and the 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri. This is your deck's skeleton.
  2. Complete the payoffs: four Sweet 3 Generals, four 6-cost Charlotte Katakuri, four Charlotte Linlin. Your deck now executes its real game plan, so practice with it from this point.
  3. Add the defense: four Mamaragan. Of all the reactive cards, these improve the deck the most per copy, because each one counters and replaces itself.
  4. Add the removal suite: Zeus to three, Charlotte Smoothie, Conquest of the Sea.
  5. Finish the list: the 8-cost Charlotte Katakuri, Charlotte Pudding!! and the final Charlotte Cracker and We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!! counts.

Buy standard prints. Alternate arts cost more and do nothing extra in play. Any 10 DON!! cards fill your DON!! deck, so don't spend money there. You can play at locals by step 2. Treat steps 3 and 4 as the minimum for a serious tournament.

Common Mistakes

1. Casting Cracker and Sweet 3 Generals Without the Extra DON!!

Charlotte Cracker and Sweet 3 Generals only do their jobs if you can rest 2 more DON!! after paying their cost. A 3-cost Charlotte Cracker with no spare DON!! is a vanilla 4000. A Sweet 3 Generals slammed on exactly 6 DON!! gets no card, no Life, and no -3000. Count before you commit: Cracker wants 5 active DON!!, Generals wants 8. If you're one short, develop something else and cast them next turn. Spend your Charlotte Pudding Leader and Yamato ramp to hit those numbers on curve.

2. Treating Trigger Plays Like Your-Turn Plays

Charlotte Katakuri (the 6-cost), Sweet 3 Generals and Charlotte Cracker can all be played off a Life hit, but their Life-gain and -3000 effects are [Your Turn] [On Play]. When they come down during your opponent's turn, you get the body and nothing else. Don't take a hit expecting that Trigger to refund the Life it cost you. Block or Counter as if the Trigger only gives you a 4000 Character, because that's what it gives you.

3. Firing the 2-Cost Katakuri Blind

The 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri trashes itself first and then plays "up to 1" Katakuri, so a misread still costs you the card. Before you activate, check two things. First, confirm the right Katakuri is in your hand. Second, count your opponent's field: the 6-cost needs at least 6 DON!! there and the 8-cost needs at least 8. If either check fails, leave the 2-drop on board as a body. This also changes what you pitch. Don't trash the 6-cost Charlotte Katakuri to Charlotte Pudding's draw if a 2-cost is waiting to cheat it out.

4. Playing Smoothie Before You Flip

Charlotte Smoothie's K.O. only resolves if you already have a face-up Life card. You can attack and play cards in any order during your Main Phase. So swing with the Leader first, flip 2 for the DON!!, and then drop Smoothie to remove a 2-cost and turn your Life back face-down. If Smoothie comes down first on a face-down Life stack, you've paid 3 for a 3000 vanilla. The reset also hides your Triggers again, which sets up the next Leader flip.

5. Leaning on Linlin's 8000s During the Opponent's Turn

Charlotte Linlin's power boost is [Your Turn] only. Your Charlotte Daifuku, Charlotte Pudding Character, Cracker, 6-cost Katakuri and Generals swing as 8000s on your turn. On the opponent's turn they drop back to 4000 and are easy to attack into. Plan your defense around their real 4000 power.

Linlin's On Play mode also matters. Taking the top of the opponent's Life doesn't trigger anything, but it hands them a card they can use as a Counter. Pick that mode when it puts lethal on the table this turn or next. Otherwise, put a card on top of your own Life.

6. Not Attacking Into the 8-Cost Katakuri Untap

The 8-cost Charlotte Katakuri sets up to 2 of your Big Mom Pirates Characters of cost 3 or more as active at the end of your turn. That makes holding those Characters back a waste. Attack with your 3+-cost Big Mom Pirates first and let Katakuri stand them back up so they aren't left rested and exposed. Remember that Yamato isn't Big Mom Pirates and won't be untapped. Leave Yamato's Blocker up when you need it on defense.

7. Spending Life Like It's Free

Your Life pays for several things. The Leader flips 2 cards face-up, which shows your opponent which Triggers are coming. Zeus takes a Life card into your hand. The deck refills Life later through Cracker, the 6-cost Katakuri, Generals and Linlin, but that refill comes on turns when you can afford those cards.

Against aggressive starts, don't flip just because you can. Flip only if the DON!! actually advances your next turn, such as reaching 8 for Generals. With Zeus, look at your face-up cards and choose top or bottom on purpose. Take a known card you want in hand, and don't fire Zeus at all when you're already low against a deck that can close.

8. Mismanaging Mamaragan's DON!! Math

Mamaragan's Counter only draws if you have 6 or fewer DON!! on your field. Its [Main] mode returns 2 DON!! to your DON!! deck. Account for both when you ramp and when you pick a mode.

  • Late game: once you're above 6 DON!!, treat Mamaragan as a +1000 Counter with no card attached and Counter accordingly.
  • Main mode: returning 2 DON!! the turn before you need 8 for Generals or the 8-cost Katakuri can cost you that play. Only do it when the draw and the rest effect win the turn, or when the Leader's next attack can rebuild the DON!!.
  • Conquest of the Sea: Conquest of the Sea has the same DON!! 2 return cost on top of its 6-cost, so check your DON!! count the same way before casting it.

Tournament Prep & Final Notes

What to Practice Before the Event

  • Life sequencing as a single plan. Your Leader flips Life face-up for DON!!. Zeus pulls Life into hand. Charlotte Smoothie needs a face-up Life card and then resets everything face-down. Charlotte Cracker, the 6-cost Charlotte Katakuri, Sweet 3 Generals and Charlotte Linlin all put cards back on top. Run practice games where you say your Life plan for the next two turns out loud before you attack. If you can't state it, you're improvising with your most important resource.
  • Tracking the opponent's DON!! count. The 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri can only play a copy from hand whose cost is at or below the number of DON!! cards on your opponent's field. Without ramp or DON!! returns on their side, an opponent going second reaches six DON!! after their third turn. Going first, they reach seven after their fourth. Count their field every turn anyway, because effects that return DON!! will throw off your math.
  • Pudding draw discipline. The Character Charlotte Pudding only draws 3 if you trash a card with [Trigger] from hand. Practice deciding which Trigger card you're willing to bin before you commit the 3 cost.
  • Top-heavy prep matchups. In the brief's data window, Rocks.D.Xebec took 8 of 32 Top 8 slots and Luffy & Ace took 6 (source: Limitless TCG online events, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). Spend most of your reps against those two before branching out.

Rules Interactions to Know Cold

  • [Your Turn] [On Play] does nothing off a Trigger. When Charlotte Cracker, the 6-cost Charlotte Katakuri or Sweet 3 Generals comes in from Life during the opponent's turn, you get the body only. No Life add, no -3000, no draw. Budget your defense knowing this. The 6-cost Katakuri played through the 2-cost Katakuri's [Activate:Main] is played on your turn, so its On Play does resolve.
  • Charlotte Linlin only buffs on your turn. Your Trigger Characters with 4000 base power become 8000 base: Charlotte Daifuku, the Character Charlotte Pudding, Charlotte Cracker, the 6-cost Charlotte Katakuri and Sweet 3 Generals. On the opponent's turn they are back to 4000. Plan blocks and counters around the smaller number.
  • Type checks matter. Yamato is Land of Wano, not Big Mom Pirates. That means:
  • Know your Trigger cards on sight. Charlotte Daifuku, the Character Charlotte Pudding, Charlotte Cracker, the 6-cost Charlotte Katakuri, Sweet 3 Generals and We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!! have [Trigger]. Charlotte Linlin, Zeus, Yamato and the 8-cost Katakuri do not. This decides both what Pudding can trash and what Linlin buffs.
  • DON!! returns feed Mamaragan. Conquest of the Sea's reminder text spells out the DON!! 2 notation: you return DON!! from your field to your DON!! deck. Dropping to six or fewer DON!! on your field turns on Mamaragan's Counter draw. Your Leader, Yamato and the 8-cost Katakuri can then re-add rested DON!! to rebuild.
  • Zeus lets you choose top or bottom. If your top Life cards are face-up from the Leader, decide whether you want to take the known card or keep it in Life and take a hidden one from the bottom.
  • Linlin's second mode cuts the opponent's Life, but they keep the card. Their top Life card goes to their hand. Use it when the lost Life matters more than the extra card they gain.

Clock and Time Management

This deck is slow on the table. Streusen looks at three cards. We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!! and Pudding's Trigger each look at five. Every one of those makes you order cards on the bottom. Add Life flips, Trigger reveals and Linlin turns, and close games can run long. Three habits keep you on pace:

  • Order bottom cards fast. Bury whatever is weakest for the rest of the game; don't agonize over it.
  • Do your DON!! math during the opponent's turn, not yours.
  • Announce Leader flips and Life adds clearly so neither player has to rewind.

In untimed rounds this is just courtesy. In timed rounds a draw costs you the same as a loss on a tight bracket.

Final Assessment

This is a resource-conversion deck. It trades Life visibility for DON!!, buys Life back with its 6-cost bodies, and turns Linlin turns into a board of 8000-power Characters that the opponent has to answer every turn. It rewards precise sequencing and punishes autopilot. Nearly every mistake shows up as a Life total you can't defend or a 2-cost Katakuri you activated a turn early.

Be clear-eyed about the field. Across the brief's window this Leader turned 18 entries into 1 Top 8 (source: Limitless TCG online events, 2026-10-01 to 2026-10-19). This list's Top 4 out of 128 players shows the ceiling is real, but the deck doesn't carry an unprepared pilot. Pick it up if you'll put in the reps on Life sequencing and opponent DON!! tracking. If you want a deck that forgives loose turns, look elsewhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Charlotte Pudding deck win games?

It ramps DON!! with the Leader, Yamato and the 8-cost Charlotte Katakuri, then lands Charlotte Linlin. During your turn she turns every Trigger Character with 4000 base power into an 8000 attacker, so a board of 4000s becomes a wall of 8000s in one play.

Which cards does Charlotte Linlin power up to 8000?

Charlotte Daifuku, the Character Charlotte Pudding, Charlotte Cracker, the 6-cost Charlotte Katakuri and Sweet 3 Generals. The boost only applies on your turn, so on the opponent's turn they drop back to 4000.

How does the 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri chain work?

The 2-cost Charlotte Katakuri trashes itself to play a Katakuri of cost 3 or more from hand, whose cost can't exceed the DON!! on your opponent's field. At 6 or more you can drop the 6-cost Katakuri with its On Play, and at 8 or more the 8-cost one.

Do Trigger Characters get their On Play effects when flipped from Life on the opponent's turn?

No. Charlotte Cracker, the 6-cost Charlotte Katakuri and Sweet 3 Generals have [Your Turn] On Play effects, so off a Trigger on the opponent's turn you get a 4000 body only, with no Life add or -3000.

When should I attack with the Leader and flip Life for DON!!?

Flip early when the extra DON!! brings forward your first Sweet 3 Generals or 6-cost Charlotte Katakuri, since the face-up cards show your opponent your Triggers. Against aggressive starts, only flip if the DON!! actually advances your next turn.

What are the best matchups for Charlotte Pudding?

Aggro and go-wide decks are favored thanks to low-cost removal and Blockers, with Charlotte Smoothie, Sweet 3 Generals and Conquest of the Sea handling wide boards. The guide rates the other listed matchups as even, and notes those are starting positions rather than recorded results.

What are the budget swaps for this Charlotte Pudding list?

The softest cut is replacing the two 8-cost Charlotte Katakuri with a third and fourth Charlotte Cracker. You can also swap Conquest of the Sea for a fourth Zeus, or Charlotte Pudding!! for extra copies of We're Going to Claim the One Piece!!!.

What should I practice before taking this deck to a tournament?

Practice Life sequencing as a single plan, track your opponent's DON!! count every turn for the Katakuri chain, and decide which Trigger card you'll trash before casting the Character Charlotte Pudding. Spend most of your reps against Rocks.D.Xebec and Luffy & Ace.
